Chairman Cassidy to Host Roundtable with LSU Basketball Legend, Deputy Athletic Director on Fixing College Sports


WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA), Chairman of the U.S. Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP) Committee, will host a roundtable on reforming college athletics to protect students and ensure they have opportunities to succeed on March 10, 2026. The senators will hear from a variety of panelists including former Louisiana State University (LSU) basketball legend Collis Temple and LSU deputy athletic director Julie Cromer.

As part of his efforts to fix college sports, Cassidy also is requesting information from stakeholders on how Congress can address issues affecting all student-athletes.
