NEXT WEEK: Chairman Cassidy to Host Roundtable with Parents to Improve Child Literacy, Support Students with Dyslexia


WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA), Chairman of the U.S. Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP) Committee, will host a roundtable on supporting students with dyslexia and ensuring all students have the opportunity to succeed on Wednesday, April 15. The senators will hear from parents across the country who have personal experiences with children with dyslexia. This comes as a part of Cassidy’s longstanding efforts to increase child literacy rates.

  • Emuni Sanderson, Parent of student with dyslexia at Key Academy, Baton Rouge, Louisiana
  • Hope McDonald, Parent of student with dyslexia, Certified Academic Language Practitioner, and Teacher at Key Academy, Shreveport, Louisiana
