HELP Committee to Hold Hearing on States' Role in Keeping the Population Healthy


WASHINGTON, DC— A hearing on the role of states in keeping Americans healthy will be held tomorrow, Thursday, January 22nd at 10am. Senator Tom Harkin (D-IA) will chair the hearing that will take place in the HELP Committee’s hearing room, Dirksen Senate Office Building, Room 430.

This is the second hearing Harkin has held in his role as leader of a HELP Committee working group on prevention, wellness and public health. HELP Committee Chairman Senator Edward Kennedy (D-MA) chose Harkin to lead the working group last December as a part of the HELP committee’s work on national health reform.
