STATEMENT OF SENATOR EDWARD M. KENNEDY ON NAMING OF PENSION CONFEREES

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Senator Edward M. Kennedy released the following statement on the naming of pension conferees: “I am pleased that we are starting the conference on the pension bill. Millions of hardworking Americans fear that their secure retirement might disappear, and they are depending on Congress to act to protect their pensions. This is a critical piece of legislation for America’s workers and retirees and I look forward to working with my colleagues to craft a bi-partisan bill to send to the President.” ###
