WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA), chair of the U.S. Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP) Committee, will speak on the U.S. Senate floor today discussing how his Health Care Freedom for Patients Act with U.S. Senator Mike Crapo (R-ID), chair of the U.S. Senate Finance Committee, works to lower health care costs by giving money directly to families. The U.S. Senate will vote on this historic Republican bill to send money directly to patients tomorrow, Thursday, December 11th. The bill offers Americans an alternative to Democrats’ plan, which sends taxpayer funds to giant insurance companies and leaves families with thousands of dollars in health care costs that they cannot afford.
